Are you in an unhealthy relationship?

Sometimes we fall in love with someone who hurts us. If your boyfriend or girlfriend insults you, hits you or hurts you, or forces you to have intercourse or engage in other sex acts, that’s not normal!

Violence can also take other forms.

The person you love might blackmail you, insult you, try to get you away from your friends or family, try to manipulate you, engage in illegal actions, or have uncontrollable reactions that scare you. He/she might also be nice some of the time, and then get hurtful or violent again.

👉 All these examples are warning signs. ✋

You can’t choose who you fall in love with. But you can decide whether or not to stay in a relationship. If you have any doubts, talk to an adult you trust. And be sure you have good people around you, especially if you decide to break up.
