Orgasm: The ultimate thrill
Orgasm is the highpoint of sexual pleasure. It’s what you feel when sexual arousal reaches its maximum.
During orgasm, the muscles of your genitals contract involuntarily. The orgasm starts in the region of the vulva and vagina in girls and the penis in guys. The feeling can then spread to the rest of your body.
Not all orgasms are the same: they vary from one person to another and one sex act to another. Furthermore, they rarely happen at exactly the same time for both partners.
The 4 phases of orgasm
Excitement – This is the phase of sexual stimulation: kissing and stroking lead to an erection for the guy and vaginal lubrication for the girl.👄 💦 👷🏾
Plateau – This is when the highest level of sexual arousal is reached and maintained for a short time (variable duration).
Orgasm – This is a very fast, powerful rise in sexual pleasure, which is expressed by ejaculation for the guy and vaginal contractions for the girl. 🌧️ 🚀 ☄️
Resolution – Sexual arousal decreases and the body returns to a relaxed, resting state. 🛬
Differences between guys and girls
It’s not exactly breaking news that guys and girls are different, and their genitals are too. In general, a girl needs a bit more time to reach orgasm, since her level of sexual arousal increases gradually with sexual touching. A guy, on the other hand, can have an erection and an orgasm (ejaculation) very fast. And oh yes, did you know that girls can have several orgasms in a row?
It’s important to remember these differences when you’re getting it on with your partner so that both of you can have an enjoyable, satisfying experience. The important thing is for you to feel good about your sexuality and to make sure your partner does too.
