KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide professional intervention and support services to teenagers and parents of teenagers across Quebec through telephone and written communications;
Apply Tel-jeunes’ intervention model and procedures while adhering to the organization's Code of Ethics;
Contribute to the achievement of organizational goals;
Serve as a Tel-jeunes ambassador by demonstrating and promoting our values to clients;
Participate in various professional development and skills enhancement activities;
Record and code interventions for statistical reporting purposes;
Perform other related duties as assigned.
PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE
Strong interest in delivering high-quality intervention services to teenagers and parents of teenagers throughout Quebec;
Relevant experience providing support or intervention services to youth and/or parents;
Relevant education in intervention, adolescent development, parenting issues, or related fields (Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma/DEC with relevant experience);
Crisis intervention experience is considered an asset
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
General theoretical knowledge of psychosocial intervention (basic intervention techniques, approaches, etc.);
Knowledge of child and adolescent development, as well as parenting-related issues;
Understanding of professional customer service principles (client-centered approach, emotional management, conflict resolution, and complaint handling);
Adaptability and flexibility;
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
Professionalism, ethics, and sound clinical judgment;
Strong self-awareness;
Open-mindedness;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to adopt an appropriate tone and approach when interacting with teenagers and parents;
Technological proficiency (ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously, knowledge of Microsoft 365, etc.);
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Six (6) permanent evening positions, full-time, 28 hours per week;
Hybrid work model with mandatory on-site presence at least two days per week;
Evening schedule, weekdays and weekends (3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to midnight);
Hourly wage: $28 to $38, depending on experience;
